This year, we proudly celebrate 50 years of the Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health (PopFam) at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Since 1975, PopFam has led the way in advancing health equity and solutions—driving groundbreaking research, training generations of public health leaders, and forging partnerships that create lasting change.

For five decades, we have collaborated with communities worldwide and reimagined what’s possible in public health. As we mark this milestone, we remain deeply committed to driving impact for generations to come.
